(Thu 06 Nov 08) The Skoda Superb has been busy gathering awards in Europe since its introduction earlier this year. Most recently, it won the Medium Class trophy in the Golden Steering Wheel Awards organised by German magazine Bild am Sonntag and the Mid-Size category in the Austrian Car of the Year event.
Other Superb honours include Best Looking Car (Poland), Best Company Car (Croatia), Car of the Year 2008 (Latvia) and Company Car of the Year (Germany). The innovative TwinDoor system, which means the Superb can be described as both a saloon and a hatchback, was given the 2008 Technobest award by the Automotive Journalists Club in the Czech Republic. |
