(Wed 12 Nov 08) Bentley has announced the arrival of the Azure T, which it modestly describes as "the world's most elegant convertible".
It's certainly one of the most powerful. The twin-turbo 6.75-litre V8 engine produces a maximum of 500bhp, compared with 450bhp for the regular Azure, which is enough to give this very large car a top speed of 179mph and a 0-62mph time of 5.5 seconds. There are several exterior changes, such as 20" five-spoke bright finish alloy wheels, twin exhausts and dark-tinted upper and lower front grilles, while inside the standard specification includes drilled alloy pedals, an aluminium dashboard finish, diamond quilting for the seats and door panels and black-backed instruments. On top of that, there are so many optional extras, and such a wide range of possible interior/exterior colour combinations, that we can't imagine Bentley ever being asked to build two identical Azure Ts. |
