(Wed 01 Oct 08) Volvo has revealed the UK prices for the DRIVe versions of the C30, S40 and V50, all of which emit CO2 at a rate of less than 120g/km and will therefore cost less than £35 per year to tax.
The C30 DRIVe (pictured), which has a CO2 rating of 115g/km and official combined fuel economy of 64.2mpg, will cost £15,410 when it becomes available to order in November (UK deliveries are expected to start in January). The S40 and V50, which share CO2 and economy figures of 118g/km and 62.8mpg, will cost £17,260 and £18,660 respectively. These prices refer to cars in the lowest trim level, called S. In each case add £1500 for the SE specification, and a further £1500 for the range-topping SE Lux. All versions use 1.6-litre turbo diesel engines and have fuel-saving features described in our previous news story.
