(Wed 15 Oct 08) Between now and the end of the year, Chevrolet is offering the 2.0 VCDi LS five-seat version of its Captiva SUV for the same price as the 2.4-litre petrol equivalent.
Both cars now cost £16,995 on the road, which means a saving of £1450 on the normal list price of the diesel. The VCDi is more powerful than the 2.4 (though 0-62mph times are identical 11.5 seconds) and substantially more economical at 38.7mpg combined (compared with the petrol car's 31.7mpg) while CO2 emissions are 22g/km lower at 195g/km. |
