| Hummer Becomes Art | ||
|
(Thu 16 Oct 08) A Hummer H3 - in fact the very same Luxury Automatic we tested a few weeks ago - has become the basis of a sculpture by Sheffield-based artist Matthew Harrison.
Harrison's simple but effective idea was to leave the H3 in its normal state except for the fitment of wagon wheels, which give this very American vehicle an appropriate Wild West feel. The car will be parked on Old Burlington Road in London, opposite the Royal Academy of Arts, for the duration of the fifth Zoo Art Fair, which runs from October 17-20. Hummer has not yet confirmed plans to offer wagon wheels as an option for the H3. |
