(Mon 01 Sep 08) The third-generation Toyota Avensis will make its world debut at the Paris Show on October 2.
Detailed information about the new Avensis is sparse at this stage, but Toyota is promising a range of engines which are more powerful than the ones in the current car, while using less fuel and emitting lower levels of CO2. Built at Toyota's Burnaston plant in Derbyshire, the new Avensis will go on sale in January next year at prices which have yet to be confirmed. It will be joined at Paris by production-ready examples of the iQ city car and Urban Cruiser compact MPV, both of which were displayed at the British International Motor Show earlier this summer and will also reach the marketplace in 2009. |
