(Wed 10 Sep 08) Probably the most famous and possibly the best-loved special edition version of the Citroen 2CV was the two-tone Charleston, and Citroen has recreated the design with a Charleston edition of the C3 Pluriel.
Named after a dance which was immensely popular in the 1920s, the Charleston will be displayed at this year's Paris Show in the familiar black and Bordeaux red paint scheme. Standard equipment includes 15" alloy wheels with red centre embellishers, gloss black interior fittings, leather upholstery and chrome trim. Pricing has not yet been confirmed, but Citroen says that the Charleston is expected to go on sale in the UK early next year.
