(Tue 16 Sep 08) Citroen has given the C4 a mild facelift to give it a closer resemblance to the larger C5. The exterior revisions, which include a new bonnet, grille and front bumper, are being introduced at the same time as an improved interior, with new decors and a plush grain trim on the dashboard and doors.
Two new 1.6-litre petrol engines have also been introduced to the range, a naturally-aspirated 120bhp unit and a 150bhp turbo which we've seen many times before in other products since they're the ones co-developed by PSA Peugeot Citroen and BMW. As before, there are also two 1.6 HDi turbo diesels (producing 92bhp and 110bhp), and they're now more economical than before because the cars that use them are being fitted with low-resistance Michelin Energy Saver tyres. Prices for the revised C4 now range from £12,695 for the 1.4 LX to £19,895 for the 2.0 HDi Exclusive automatic.
