| French Sports Car Reaches UK | ||

(Wed 29 Apr 09) Devon-based company Qpod has become the official importer of the French Secma F16 sports car, which has already been on sale in its home country for the past six months.
The F16 is a small two-seater with a 105bhp 1.6-litre Renault engine mounted in the rear. The relatively low power output and unpromising aerodynamics mean that it has a top speed of just 110mph, but its light weight (just 567kg gross) contributes to a very spritely 0-60mph time of 5.5 seconds. Qpod also claims fuel economy of approximately 45mpg in "mixed" driving, and CO2 emissions of 155g/km. Where would you get it serviced? Well, Qpod has come to an arrangement with Autosafe, so there are in fact 400 outlets across the UK where the F16 can get fettled as necessary. Available in right-hand drive form for UK customers, the F16 is made to order and is priced from £14,995. More details at www.f16sport.co.uk. |
