| MG Rover Report A Month Away | ||

(Tue 11 Aug 09) The UK Government's Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has announced that a report into the collapse of the MG Rover Group will be published on September 11 this year.
The report will reveal the findings of Guy Newey QC and Gervase MacGregor FCA after they studied the activities of Phoenix Venture Holdings, MGR Capital Limited and 32 related companies from the purchase of MG Rover Group from BMW in May 2000 until the company went into administration in April 2005. The reason the report will not be published for another month, according to the Department, is that "the Secretary of State will, as is usual in Companies Act inspections, make a copy of the report available to those witnesses who, it is considered, need time to prepare themselves for publication. A minimum of four weeks from now until publication is judged necessary to ensure sufficient time for witnesses to be contacted over this holiday period and arrangements to be made." Those witnesses who are offered and accept the opportunity will see the report four days before publication. Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter.
