(Mon 17 Aug 09) Honda has introduced a new trim level to the five-door Civic range. The Si is available with 1.4- and 1.8-litre petrol engines and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel, and it slots between the existing SE and ES grades.
Compared with the SE, nearly all the differences are cosmetic: colour-coded body mouldings, front foglights, an Si-specific front grille, 17" graphite alloy wheels (or 16" in the case of the 1.4-litre models), dark chrome doorhandles and fuel filler cap and a half-leather interior. The only technical change is the addition of a USB port for the audio system. The Si is priced £850 higher than the SE, ranging from £15,800 for the 1.4 to £18,305 for the turbo diesel.
