Land Rover will introduce a new Sport model of the Freelander to the UK market in January. It appears in various guises, but they all feature 19" diamond-turned alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a two-tone Ebony and Storm (that's black and grey) interior and colour-coded exterior trim with matching doorhandles and mirrors.

Standard versions come with a choice of Santorini Black or Lago Grey paintwork. There's also a more expensive version which comes in Lago Grey only, but has a full leather interior as opposed to the normal cloth/leather.

Every Sport has a 2.2-litre TD4 turbo diesel engine, and the ones with manual transmission also have a stop/start function which improves combined economy and CO2 emissions to 42.2mpg and 179g/km respectively. Prices start at £26,695.
