(Thu 19 Feb 09) The latest of Skoda's Scout models, based on the Fabia estate, will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Show next month before going on sale in late May.
It's visibly different from other Fabias thanks to its roof rails, extra-protective bumpers and side cladding and 16" (or, optionally, 17") alloy wheels of a unique design. The Fabia Scout will be available with a choice of 85bhp 1.4 and 105bhp 1.6-litre petrol engines and 80bhp 1.4 and 105bhp 1.9 turbo diesels. The most economical of these is of course the 1.4 diesel, which has an official combined fuel economy figure of 61.4mpg.
