(Fri 27 Feb 09) A week before the new RX 450h hybrid SUV goes on display at Geneva, Lexus has released the official fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures.
The RX 450h, which replaces both the existing RX 400h hybrid and the RX 350 petrol version, has a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and two electric motors giving a combined total of 295bhp, but on the combined cycle it manages an impressive 44.8mpg, or 28% better than the RX 400h. CO2 emissions, meanwhile, are 148g/km - a startlingly low figure for a large 4x4. UK sales are due to start this summer, and more information will be revealed at Geneva. |
