Mazda has created special Tamura versions in the 2 and 6 model ranges. The Mazda2 Tamura is based on the 85bhp 1.3 TS2 petrol model but also comes with a Sports Styling Pack, new headlights, 16" dark grey alloy wheels, Tamura badging and floormats and a choice of four metallic, mica and pearlescent paint schemes.

There is also a choice of three- and five-door body styles, and in each case the Tamura has fuel economy and CO2 figures of 54.3mpg and 125g/km, and has an insurance rating of Group 4, though customers aged between 21 and 70 also qualify for one year's free insurance. Prices are £10,275 and £10,775, or £397 more than the equivalent TS.

The Mazda6 Tamura is based on the 145bhp 2.0 petrol TS, and in this case the extra equipment consists of another Sports Styling Pack, privacy glass, clear rear light bezels, 18" alloy wheels, alloy pedals and once again various pieces of Tamura badging. Metallic silver paint and three mica schemes (of which the red and black are unique to the Tamura) are included in the price, which is £16,695. For that you also get three years' free scheduled servicing, as you do on all Mazda6s.

All three Tamuras can be bought for a minimum 10% deposit plus typical 6.9% APR finance, over 12, 24 or 36 months through Mazda Hire Purchase in the case of the 2s and over 24, 30 or 36 months through Mazda MultiOption PCP for the 6. The finance offers are available only for retail sales between now and March 31.
