(Wed 03 Jun 09) BMW has introduced a new version of the M3 called the Coupé Edition. Mechanically it's almost identical to other M3s, with a four-litre V8 engine, a 0-62mph time of 4.8 seconds (or 4.6 with the optional seven-speed Double Clutch Transmission) and a top speed limited to 155mph.
The ride height, however, is 10mm lower than that of the standard M3, though the other changes are generally cosmetic. The Edition sits on 19" alloy wheels - silver or, optionally, gloss black in colour - and is painted in Alpine White (as pictured above), Dakar Yellow or Monte Carlo Blue. The interior is upholstered in Novillo leather with stripes in the same colour as the bodywork, and the sill plates are decorated with a chequered flag motif. The M3 Coupé Edition is priced from £53,435. |
