(Mon 08 Jun 09) The new model-year Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Land Rover Discovery are all making their UK debuts at the Motorexpo in Canary Wharf, which starts today and runs until Sunday, and pricing has been confirmed for the first of these.
On sale from mid-July, the Range Rover will have a starting price of £64,695. That will buy you the Vogue (a name previously used for top-end models but now applied to the entry-level car) which comes with 19" seven-spoke alloy wheels, keyless push-button start, a harman/kardon surround-sound audio system with iPod and USB interface, a hard-disk drive touchscreen premium navigation and much else. The Vogue also comes with a 3.6-litre V8 turbo diesel engine, and so do the £70,995 Vogue SE and £75,695 Autobiography. The Vogue gets 20" wheels, adaptive cruise control, perforated semi-aniline leather seat facings and adaptive bi-xenon headlights, while the Autobiography comes with sparkle-finish alloys, an exterior design pack, leather headlining and door panels, luxury carpet mats and two-tone seat upholstery. At the top of the range is another Autobiography (costing £79,995) which is the only 2010 Range Rover with a petrol engine - the five-litre supercharged V8 unit also found in high-performance Jaguars. |
