(Mon 15 Jun 09) Skoda has launched a new version of the Octavia with by far the lowest CO2 emissions in the range.
It's called the GreenLine, a name also used for the most economical versions of the Fabia and Superb, and it uses a 1.6-litre turbo diesel engine. It's CO2 rating is 114g/km, well below the 130g/km of the 1.9 diesel, and that brings the annual VED payments down from £120 to £35 (though from next April the equivalent figures will be £90 and £30). The Octavia GreenLine is available to order now at a cost of £16,155 for the hatchback and £17,005 for the estate.
