(Tue 12 May 09) Hyundai has launched limited-edition ES (standing for Extra Special) models in the i10 and i30 ranges. The i10 ES is based on the 1.1 Classic and has additional equipment in the form of driver's seat height adjustment, remote central locking, body-coloured exterior trim and "colourful inserts" for the seats, dashboard and interior door panels.
The i30 ES is based on the 1.4 Comfort and comes with electronic climate control air-conditioning, 16" alloy wheels, reversing sensors, a silver front grille and an alloy-look centre fascia. Production is restricted to 1000 i10 ESs and 500 of the i30 version. List prices are £7195 for the i10 and £11,795 for the i30, but both are subject to the scrappage scheme (which Hyundai has embraced enthusiastically) and in the case of the i30 there is an extra £1500 incentive, bringing the potential price down to £8295. |
