(Thu 21 May 09) Mitsubishi has launched a new Long Bed version of its L200 pickup. The Long Bed has a bed length 18cm (or about 7") greater than that of the regular L200; it now extends to 151cm, which just happens to match that of the Nissan Navara.
The Long Bed comes in 4Work, 4Life, Warrior and Animal forms. The first two have a 134bhp turbo diesel engine, but in the case of the Warrior and Animal the engine has been uprated to produce 176bhp, leading Mitsubishi's marketing department to ask, "What could you do with an extra seven inches and a bit more poke?" Well, really. Most Long Bed L200s cost £750 more than their standard equivalents, except for the Warrior which costs £1000 more. Both figures are exclusive of VAT. |
