(Wed 27 May 09) Mitsubishi reports that 21% of the cars it has sold so far in May have been ordered through the new scrappage scheme, and to improve sales still further it has decided to extend the deal beyond what the Government envisaged.
In normal circumstances the scheme applies only if a customer can produce an eligible car registered before 31 July 1999, but Mitsubishi dealers will take cars registered as recently as five years ago and still offer the full £2000 rebate. |
