(Tue 03 Nov 09) Skoda's long-running offer of removing the cost of VAT from its Fabia, Roomster and Octavia ranges will continue until January 31 (if it's not extended yet again before that date), so it will still apply when the UK VAT rate reverts back to 17.5%.
Octavia models fitted with the 105bhp 1.6 TDI turbo diesel engine and five-speed manual gearbox benefit further from an increase in scrappage payback from the standard £2000 to £3500.
