(Fri 06 Nov 09) The reputation of Japanese and German manufacturers for producing reliable cars has been enhanced yet further by the results of the 2009 FN50 survey, in which Fleet News magazine canvassed the views of the fifty largest fleet companies in the UK.
According to the survey, the Honda Civic (pictured) is the most reliable car in the country, and typically Honda also had two other cars in the top ten, with the Jazz coming in third and the Accord fourth. BMW also did spectacularly well, with the 3- and 5-Series scoring the second and fifth highest marks respectively, while the same company's MINI brand was eighth in the list. The remaining places were taken by the Audi A4 (sixth), Mercedes-Benz C-Class (seventh), Toyota Avensis (ninth) and Volkswagen Golf (tenth). BMW was named most reliable manufacturer in the survey, having tied with Honda on ratings but been nominated as top company by more fleet operators. Third to tenth in this list were Audi, Toyota, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Mazda, Nissan and Skoda. |
