(Thu 12 Nov 09) Toyota has added a new version of the Aygo city car to join the top of the range alongside the existing Blue. The Platinum is based on the Aygo+ but has extra equipment in the form of Crystal Silver metallic paint, 14" multispoke alloy wheels, a six-speaker audio system, leather/alcantara upholstery and a leather gearknob.
The basic price for the three-door is £8995, while the five-door costs £9335. However, Toyota lists a total of six models (three each in the two body styles), so officially you can also have air-conditioning for an extra £490 and air-conditioning with the Multimode automatic transmission for a total premium of £980. On top of that, there are two optional extras. The Aygo Xtra Protected pack costs £380 and includes rear parking sensors and extra body protection at the rear and sides of the car, while Vehicle Stability Control can also be specified for a further £340. |
