(Mon 23 Nov 09) Hyundai is devoting quite a lot of its effort this week to a car that it didn't build. The machine in question is a 1967 Morris Minor Traveller, which was traded in under the scrappage scheme at Chelmsford Hyundai.
Dealership owner Bill Cook could not bear the idea of such a splendid classic being destroyed, so he paid £2100 for the car out of his own pocket, and has now put it up for auction on eBay. All proceeds from the sale will go to Children In Need, and the owner will receive both a new MoT certificate, valid until November 2010, and a year's free membership of the Morris Minor Owners Club. Full details - and of course a chance to bid - can be found at www.ebay.co.uk. Enter item number 160379954449 to find the Minor. Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter.
