Two New Renaults

(Mon 30 Nov 09)

Renault has introduced two new cars which slot in at the bottom of their respective ranges.

Renault Laguna 65 - Coupé TomTom dCi 150.

The first is the Laguna Coupé TomTom dCi 150, which at £19,995 is the only car of its type with a list price under £20,000. As its name suggests, it uses the 150bhp two-litre turbo diesel engine and comes with TomTom satellite navigation as standard. Other features include 18" alloy wheels, an Arkamys sound system with CD/MP3 reader and the ability to play external devices, Bluetooth connectivity, eight airbags, automatic headlights and wipers, electric heated door mirrors and rear parking sensors.

£2100 cheaper than the previous entry-level Coupé, the new TomTom dCi 150 is available to order now and will start appearing in UK Renault showrooms in January.

The same ordering details also apply to the new Megane Sport Tourer Extreme, which in 1.6-litre petrol form becomes the cheapest Megane estate at £14,935. The 1.5 dCi turbo diesel version costs £16,685, so both are £1000 cheaper than their better-equipped Expression equivalents.

Standard equippment in each case includes ESP, front electric windows, a Renault keycard, air-conditioning and a four-speaker radio/CD system with auxiliary input.
