(Mon 05 Oct 09) Volvo has confirmed the prices for its revised C30 hatchback and C70 coupé/convertible, both of which were unveiled at the Frankfurt Show last month.
The C30 is to be sold in four trim levels, called S, SE, SE Lux and R-Design. The last of these isn't quite as well-equipped as SE Lux, but it does include extra body styling and the "Sports Chassis" collection of suspension improvements as standard, though Sports Chassis is also available as a £400 option on all other models. There is the usual variety of engines on offer, right up to the 227bhp T5 turbo petrol. Only R-Design versions get that one, but all variants get the 1.6-litre turbo diesel DRIVe, and all except R-Design have that unit with the Start/Stop system which reduces CO2 emissions to 99g/km and therefore makes those versions exempt from annual VED payments. Prices range from £16,245 for the 1.6D DRIVe S (without Start/Stop, which adds £465 to the price) to £21,360 for the SE Lux with the 178bhp D5 turbo diesel engine.
The C70 range starts with the S, which is available only with a 134bhp 2.0 turbo diesel engine. The SE gets the same unit, or the 168bhp 2.4i petrol or the D5 mentioned above, while the SE Lux is available with all those plus the T5. A Premium upgrade is also available, with leather-faced upholstery and satellite navigation for the SE and just the sat-nav for the SE Lux, which already has the leather as standard. C70 prices start at £25,995 for the S and extend to £33,595 for the SE Lux Premium T5. |
