Revised Honda CR-V

(Fri 11 Sep 09)

A new version of the Honda CR-V has been revealed and will go on sale in the UK next January. Perhaps the most important piece of news about the car is that is being made available with the 148bhp 2.2-litre i-DTEC turbo diesel engine which made its debut in the Accord last year and can be specified with either a manual gearbox or - for the first time in a diesel CR-V - a five-speed automatic.

Honda CR-V 33.

There's more to it than this, though. The CR-V has also been restyled, with new front and rear bumpers, a new grille and new wheels. Inside, the fabrics and plastics have been upgraded, there's a revised audio console design, and hidden away from sight the CR-V also comes with extra sound deadening to reduce noise levels.

Three trim levels, called SE, ES and EX, will be offered. Prices will be announced later this year.
