(Fri 12 Feb 10) Vauxhall's swappage scheme, introduced last week to help sales of the Astra and most versions of the Corsa, has now been extended to include three more models.
The basic deal remains - customers can trade in any UK-registered car that is seven years or more old, as long as it has insurance, road tax and a valid MOT certificate, and get at least £3000 off the price of a new Vauxhall. What is new is that instead of an Astra or Corsa they can now pick from the Meriva, Zafira and Insignia ranges as well. £3000 should be considered the starting point. In a more dramatic example, Vauxhall points out that a Zafira 1.6 Life, which has a list price of £18,670, would cost £12,995 under swappage. To save you working it out for yourself, that's a saving of £5675. Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter.
