General Motors has announced that a new organisation will be created to manage the import, distribution and marketing of Cadillacs in Europe. The name of the organisation, you won't be at all surprised to learn, is Cadillac Europe.

Full details have not yet been announced, but there does seem to be a determination to get the brand's affairs properly sorted over here. "Europe is an important market for Cadillac," says General Manager Bryan Nesbitt. "Re-establishing distribution of our premium offerings is good news for those who seek import exclusiveness."

Cadillac will certainly be busy in Switzerland in the very near future. At the Geneva Show, it will be giving the new CTS Coupé its first European airing, and will also display the CTS Sport Sedan, the CTS Sport Wagon, the 556bhp CTS-V, the new SRX SUV and a hybrid version of the Escalade SUV.
