(Wed 24 Feb 10) The Jeep Grand Cherokee range will expand slightly - and briefly - on March 1 with the UK launch of a new version named the Overland Tech.
Just 115 examples will be built, and they all have 18" alloy wheels, sunscreen glass, xenon headlamps, front and rear park assist, rear back-up camera, rain-sensitive wipers, heated leather seats, dual-zone climate control air-conditioning, an electric power sunroof, heated door mirrors and a DVD entertainment system for rear passengers. The Overland Tech costs £33,450, putting it between the Limited (£31,450) and the Overland (£36,250). Like those models, it uses a 215bhp three-litre turbo diesel engine. The top-of-the-range model remains the silly but amusing 6.1-litre V8 petrol SRT-8 (see road test). Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter.
