(Mon 04 Jan 10) There have been some mild adjustments to the Dodge Journey range for 2010. The MPV is now available in three forms, of which the entry-level SE is the only one to use the 2.4-litre petrol engine.
The SE costs £16,990 and has 16" alloy wheels, tyre pressure monitors, heated folding door mirrors, electric windows and an MP3-compatible 6-CD audio system. New equipment for 2010 includes second-row integrated child booster seats, cruise control and cloth upholstery which repels stains and unpleasant smells. The remaining models in the range both use the Volkswagen Group's two-litre turbo diesel engine, which has been modified to give 5g/km lower CO2 emissions in manual form, or 10g/km lower when fitted with an automatic gearbox (leading to savings of £25 and £40 respectively in annual VED payments). The £19,990 SXT costs £19,990 and gets 17" alloys, a six-way powered driver's seat with adjustable lumbar support, roof rails and crossbars, "sunscreen" glass, a leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls and more leather on the gearlever. At the top of the range is the R/T, which comes with 19" alloys, a phone with voice recognition and iPod and Bluetooth connectivity. It costs £21,990. Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter.
