(Thu 14 Jan 10) The new Roadster version of the Nissan 370Z is available to order in the UK now, with deliveries expected to start on March 1.
Mechanically the same as the 370Z Coupé, which we like a lot (see road test), the Roadster has a fabric roof which fold away under a body-coloured tonneau cover in 20 seconds. For this you pay an extra £1900 over the Coupé, which has itself been slightly altered for the 2010 model year - the 324bhp 3.7-litre V6 engine, for example, is now compliant with Euro 5 emissions regulations. The Coupé now costs £500 more than it used to, so prices start at £28,000. In both forms, the 370Z is available in a standard specification with 18" alloy wheels, electrically adjustable seats, Bluetooth connectivity with steering wheel-mounted controls and bi-xenon headlights, or (for an extra £3300) in GT Pack form with 19" alloys, suede/leather seats with their own air-conditioning, an 8-speaker Bose audio system and cruise control. There's also a GT Pack With Sat Nav model. All 370Zs have a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, but the GT Pack models also have the option of a seven-speed paddle-shift automatic costing £1400 (or £1450 on the Sat Nav cars). To save you having to add it all up, the most expensive version is the 370Z Roadster GT Pack With Sat Nav automatic at £36,150. Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter.
