(Tue 02 Mar 10) The fact that Ford is displaying the 2011 version of the Focus hatchback at the Geneva Show isn't big news, since we knew about it some time ago. What is new, though, is the appearance of its estate equivalent, which is making its world debut this week.
There are very few details about this car at the moment, but although most Focuses until now have been five-door hatches, the estate is important in its own right, since the one it is due to replace accounts for about 10% of sales. Possibly the best bit of news about the car is that it looks pretty good. That is something which could hardly have been said of the original Focus estate, which looked as if its front and rear ends had been designed by different people, on different continents, in different years.
