(Tue 02 Mar 10) Citroen has created some very special concepts to display at international motor shows in recent years, and the Survolt which has been unveiled at Geneva is certainly one of the most dramatic.
Approximately the size of a supermini in terms of the amount of road space it takes up, but very much lower, the Survolt is described by Citroen as being "clearly ahead of its time", which is undoubtedly true as far as the design goes.
It's also premature - though no more so than several other concepts at Geneva - in that it's all-electric. Citroen isn't giving much detail about this, so it would be safe to assume that the Survolt's major role is let the designers show what they can do, given a free hand (or, in this case, more likely a free mouse).
