(Wed 03 Mar 10) As well as two cars which act as examples of its new Works Service Tailored series of options, Aston Martin has two special new models on display at the Geneva Show, based on the V12 Vantage and the DBS.
The DBS UB-2010 is always going to be a rare car since only 40 will be built (half each of Coupés and Volantes). The "UB" in the title refers to Dr Ulrich Bez, who has entered his tenth year as the company's Chief Executive. The cars have been created to his own personal specification and feature unique Azurite Black paintwork, metallic bronze leather, Cryptic Titan facia finish and sill plaques signed by Bez himself. The V12 Vantage Carbon Black Edition comes with rich black paintwork (the result of 50 man hours' worth of labour) along with mesh-backed carbonfibre side strakes, gloss black 10-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels, a bright finished grille, front parking sensors (normally an option on the Vantage) and, as with the UB-2010, special sill plaques. Prices of both cars will be announced at a later date. Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter. Aston Martin Gallery Previous: Euro NCAP Crash Test Results Next: Honda CR-Z Pricing |
