(Thu 11 Mar 10) Just short of its tenth anniversary, Volkswagen's Autostadt theme park in Wolfsburg, Germany has received its 20 millionth visitor. Volkswagen has decided to celebrate the achievement by donating €20,000 to the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Opened on 1 June 2000, Autostadt is partly a car distribution centre - on average around 550 customers pick up their new vehicles from there each day - but it also has exhibitions, a five-star hotel and a Michelin three-star restaurant, and has for the last seven years been host to an international dance and culture festival.
