(Thu 18 Mar 10) The big news this month about the Alfa MiTo has concerned the introduction of the new MultiAir petrol engines (review), but Alfa Romeo is also offering a revised 1.3-litre MultiJet turbo diesel.
Available in the MiTo 1.3 JTDM-2, the new Fiat Group unit produces a maximum of 95bhp and, unlike the one it replaces, meets the forthcoming Euro V emissions regulations. The JTDM-2 has a top speed of 112mph and a 0-62mph time of 11.6 seconds, and it manages 65.7mpg in the official EU fuel economy test, with CO2 emissions rated at 112g/km. It's available in three forms - the entry-level Turismo at £13,995, the Lusso at £14,815 and the range-topping Veloce at £15,785. Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter. |
