Toyota dealers are now taking orders for the new top model in the Aygo city car range. The Aygo Black uses Toyota's award-winning one-litre petrol engine and comes with 14" alloy wheels, leather/alcantara upholstery, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearknob and a Tempest Black metallic exterior paint finish.

Basic prices, as of April 1, are £9460 for the three-door manual version and £9810 for the five-door. There is also a five-door model with the Multimode automatic transmission, costing £10,810. Air-conditioning is standard on that one, but a £500 option on the others.

Further retail opportunities are provided in two option packs called Style (front foglights and aluminium scuff plates for £245) and Xtra Protected (rear parking sensors, mud flaps, carpet mats and extra side and rear protection mouldings for £390).
