2013 Aston Martin DB9

(Wednesday 19 September 2012)

Aston Martin DB9.

Aston Martin's heavily revised DB9 is available to order now, with UK deliveries due to start in October.

There are several detail changes to the styling, partly in order to give the DB9 something of the character of the Virage, which is being taken out of production.

There's more to the update than looks, though. The six-litre V12 engine, for example, has been significantly reworked, and now produces a maximum of 510bhp. It's also mounted lower than in the previous car, which will have the useful supplementary effect of bringing the centre of gravity nearer to ground level but is actually part of a change in front-end construction intended to improve pedestrian protection in the event of an accident.

The new DB9 costs £131,995, for which you get 20" alloy wheels, carbon ceramic matrix brake discs, full leather upholstery, satellite navigation and automatic headlights and wipers. Optional extras include interior and exterior carbon styling packs, a reversing camera and leather headlining.
