Another New Audi Q3
(Thursday 19 July 2012)

Audi has introduced a new version of the Q3 premium compact SUV which it believes will be the most popular of all in the UK. It has a 138bhp 2.0 TDI turbo diesel engine and quattro four-wheel drive, both of which have been available in the range since it was launched last year but not, until now, in the same vehicle.
This new version - which incidentally is the 250th four-wheel drive Audi to go on sale in this country - is expected to account for 40% of UK sales. The extra drag from the more complicated transmission harms its performance and fuel economy slightly compared with the front-wheel drive Q3 with the same engine, but it still manages 49.6mpg on the official combined cycle and has a CO2 rating of 149g/km, narrowly squeaking it into VED Band F and a £135 annual tax payment from year two onwards.
Following normal Q3 practice, the 2.0 TDI quattro 140PS (to give it its official title) is available in SE and S line trim levels. The SE costs £26,510, while the S line comes in at £29,260 thanks to the addition of larger 18" alloy wheels, xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights and tail lights and various interior and exterior styling changes.
