Audi A1 Pricing

(Thu 06 May 10)

Audi's new premium small car, named the A1, is available to order from dealers now, with customer deliveries due to start late in the year.

Audi A1 04 - S line.

Following familiar Audi practice, the A1 comes in three trim levels called SE, Sport and S line. SE versions are fitted as standard with alloy wheels, remote central locking, air-conditioning, electric front windows and a six-speaker audio system with a single CD player, an iPod connection and a 6.5" retractable display.

Sport models get larger wheels, sports suspension, sports seats, Bluetooth connectivity and a trip computer (or Driver's Information System as Audi calls it), while the S line specification includes 17" wheels and cloth/leather upholstery.

From launch there are three engines: an 85bhp 1.2 TFSI petrol, a 120bhp 1.4 TFSI (not available with the SE) and a 104bhp 1.6 TDI turbo diesel. According to preliminary figures, the diesel has the best combined economy and CO2 emissions of 70.6mpg and 105g/km respectively, though both petrol models should be under the 120g/km mark. Manual transmission is standard - six-speed on the 1.4 TFSI, five-speed on the others - though the 1.4 TSI is also available with a seven-speed twin-clutch semi-automatic S tronic gearbox.

Prices range from £13,145 for the 1.2 TFSI SE to £18,280 for the 1.4 TFSI S line with S tronic.
