Customise Your Toyota iQ
(Friday 20 January 2012)

Toyota has launched a customisation programme for its iQ city car. Scorning what it describes as "a plain old racing stripe or two", Toyota is instead offering six more adventurous decal sets which - since they are available separately for the roof and sides - can be mixed and matched.
We can't do better than use Toyota's own descriptions for the patterns: classic monochrome Check, psychedelic multicolour Swirl, (a scattering of colourful quadrilaterals, as pictured above), Bloom (retro daisies), Pulse (a swoosh of grey strokes) and Aqua (a flow of bubbles).
The iQ can also be specified with leather upholstery for all four seats in a choice of six colour combinations. With the first colour referring to the seat as a whole and the second to the stitching and shoulder area inserts, they are platinum and black, red/platinum, black/platinum, black/blue, black/orange and black/red. The last three include iQ logos on the headrests.
The leather upgrade costs £775, the side decals £200 and the roof decals £180. All prices include VAT, and the parts are covered by a five-year/100,000-mile warranty. They can only be specified to new cars, though, and not retro-fitted to already-owned ones.
