The Czech Motoring Journalists Club has named the Skoda Yeti as its Car of the Year for 2010. Competing against 33 other vehicles introduced to the Czech market within the past year, it became the first SUV ever to win the title, scoring a dominant 223 points.

In second place, on 164 points, was the new Vauxhall/Opel Astra, followed by the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the BMW X1 and the Volkswagen Polo, which was recently named European Car of the Year (see separate story).
