Honda CR-V UK Pricing Confirmed

The new-generation (and British-built) Honda Civic CR-V will go on sale in the UK next month, priced from £21,395. The entry model is the S with the two-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and is, along with the £1500 more expensive SE, one of only two version available with two- rather than four-wheel drive, a choice not previously offered to European CR-V customers.
The other engine in the range is a 2.2-litre i-DTEC turbo diesel which, when fitted with a manual gearbox in S and SE trims (priced at £24,605 and £26,105 respectively) has the best combined fuel economy and CO2 emissions of 50.4mpg and 149g/km.
Those figures assume a manual gearbox, but both engines are also available with a six-speed automatic. This adds £1500 to the cost of a petrol CR-V and around £1640 (though it varies depending on the model) for a diesel.
Even the most basic S trim level includes quite a lot of equipment. 17" alloy wheels, start/stop, a 5" display screen, steering wheel audio controls, USB and iPod inputs, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, one-touch folding rear seats, Hill Start Assist and Trailer Stability Assist are all standard.
SE models have all of the above plus automatic headlights and wipers, an auto-dimming interior mirror, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearlever, one-touch electric windows, Bluetooth phone connectivity, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, folding door mirrors, a six-speaker audio system, front foglights and a Category 1 alarm system.
The SR has 18" alloy wheels, along with part-leather, part-alcantara upholstery, heated front seats, ambient lighting for the front doors and footwells, a fancier audio with DAB digital radio, colour-coded roof rails, auto-levelling headlights, cornering lights, High Beam Support and lumbar support and height adjustment for the front passenger seat.
If even this does not satisfy your cravings, there's the top-level EX, which gets a full leather interior, a powered tailgate, an electrically operated driver's seat with memory function, a panoramic glass sunroof and satellite navigation.
As with the previous CR-V, this one is quite the load carrier, with a luggage volume of 589 litres with the rear seats in their upright position and 1669 litres otherwise.
The top model in the range is the diesel EX automatic, which costs £32,650. Only three others - the diesel EX manual, diesel SR auto and petrol EX auto - are priced above £30,000.
