Infiniti M Diesel Pricing

Infiniti has revealed the pricing of its M30d diesel saloon, which joins the petrol-engined M37 range later this year. Following normal Infiniti practice, there are five versions, starting with the one simply named M30d; that one costs £36,750 and comes with bi-xenon headlights, ten-way adjustable front seats, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, a hard disk drive sound system and the Drive Selector system which gives a choice of Sport, Normal, Snow and Eco settings.

The M30d GT gets semi-aniline leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, active headlights and white ash wood trim with silver powder finish, and it costs £39,250. The £41,250 M30d S is the sporty model, with 20" alloy wheels, four-wheel steering, sports suspension, sports seats and magnesium gearshift paddles.

That's three versions so far. The other two are the GT and the S in uprated Premium form, with Blind Sport Intervention, Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, a 16-speaker Bose Premium Surround audio system and the Connectiviti+ information and entertainment package. Premium models cost an extra £5350.

This doesn't leave much room for options, and in fact there are only three. The cheapest and most important is the temporary spare wheel, which costs £90 and is a lot better than the tyre repair kit offered as standard. The others are metallic paint at £665 and - for non-Premium GT and S models - the Connectiviti+ system at £2350.

All M30ds use the same 235bhp three-litre V6 turbo diesel engine and seven-speed automatic transmission. Top speed is limited to 155mph and the 0-62mph time in each case is 6.9 seconds. Combined fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are officially 37.7mpg and 199g/km, figures which are much better than those of the petrol M37 but likely to be challenged by the M35h petrol-electric hybrid which joins the range next year.
