Kia cee'd Is Northern Car Of The Year

The Northern Group of Motoring Writers, based across the north of England, has named the Kia cee'd as the recipient of its 2012 Car of the Year award.

"For hard-pressed motorists in the North, investment in a new car has to really work hard to be justified," said NGMW Vice Chairman Derrick Grocock, "and the Kia cee'd delivers on every front – comfort, reliability, quality, value and of course peace of mind from its seven-year warranty."

"We are very grateful to the Northern Group to Motoring Writers," said Kia Motors UK Communications Director Stephen Kitson, "as we know how hard it is to win their approval because they think first and foremost about their readers and their needs. Winning this award is a real achievement for any new car."

The NGMW is the first organisation to honour the cee'd in this way. Last year it was also the first to present such an award to the Kia Picanto.
