Land Rover Defender XTech

Although Land Rover describes its new Defender Special Edition as having extra "rugged appeal", it would be hard to imagine anything much more rugged than a Defender in its natural form, and sure enough the XTech is largely a styling exercise.

The paintwork, part-leather upholstery and central switch panel are all either on Orkney Grey or, as pictured above, Nara Bronze, a colour available only on the XTech. The headlight surrounds and 16" alloy wheels are in contrasting black, and there's a fair bit of Land Rover and Defender branding dotted around the place.

The XTech is being sold in 90 Hard Top and 110 Utility Wagon forms, priced from £27,995.
