Lexus Expands CT 200h Range
(Tuesday 2 October 2012)
As part of its revisions to the CT 200h hybrid range, Lexus has added a new entry-level version called the S.
It's the cheapest CT 200h yet, being priced at £21,995, and thanks to smaller 15" wheels and a larger rear spoiler it ought also to be the most economical. A CO2 rating of 87g/km is a best-yet for the range too, and should keep it below every important tax threshold for a good few years.
The S brings the number of cars in the range to five. Most of the other four have been renamed, and they all have slightly altered equipment levels, including a revised front armrest with extra padding.
To sum up the rest of the changes as concisely as we can, the £23,995 SE (formerly SE-I) now has power-folding door mirrors, the £25,995 Luxury (was SE-L) gets the same mirrors plus Smart Entry and Start, the £27,995 F Sport (same name as before, just to add a little tension to the whole business) gains the Smart Entry and Start along with electric adjustment for the front passenger seat, and the £30,995 Premier (known in olden times as the SE-L Premier) is fitted as standard with the same electric seat adjustment and a DAB digital radio tuner.
The DAB system is in fact part of a package which also includes satellite navigation and a single-disc CD player. All this is standard on the Premier, and an extra-cost option for the SE, Luxury and F Sport.
The 2013 model year CT 200h is available to order now, and customer deliveries are due to start on November 1.
