Kia has released images and a small amount of information about the new Sportage compact SUV, which will have its world premiere at the Geneva Show on March 2.

The new car is lower than the current Sportage but also longer and wider. Without giving exact details just yet, Kia is promising more room for passengers and luggage. The ride quality is also said to be better, which would be quite something since that was already an admirable aspect of the existing car.

Rear visibility, however, seems to be another matter entirely. Just look at those massive rear pillars. Yikes.
